  • 🚨 Well, that’s quite a haul! These men look mighty proud to have seized 🛢️🏺 moonshine in this photo, likely taken during Prohibition (1920-1933). We think this was taken at the Washington County Courthouse in Fayetteville during the 1920s, but we don’t know for sure. Does anyone recognize 🔍 the men in this photo, location, and know the date?

  • 😊 Happy Thursday! In August, we’re helping the City of Springdale find missing 📷photographs of several past mayors for its 🗄️ archives, and the Shiloh Museum is lacking as well! Today, we’re looking for W.M. Focht, who served from 1907 to 1908. His wife was Alice Alberta Tennis Focht, and his parents were Samuel and Mary Focht. Let us know if you may have a photo!

Here’s what we know: Mayor Focht, formerly a Springdale alderman, ran a mayoral campaign based on keeping cows and extending city limits. He bought land in 1908 in Twin Falls, Idaho, and apparently died there in 1924.
Shown here is a bird’s eye image of downtown Springdale when he would have been mayor. Photo from the Shiloh Museum’s Mr. T.V. Hilt Collection (S-93-134-3).
